Product Introduction

H-beam is a kind of economic and efficient steel with “H”-shaped cross-section, which is composed of upper and lower parallel flanges and vertically connected webs, with large cross-section modulus, reasonable material distribution, and excellent bending, compression and load-bearing properties. Compared with the traditional I-beam, H-beam has wider flanges and parallel inner and outer surfaces, which is convenient for the connection of components and has higher structural stability and space utilization. The section is mostly made of carbon structural steel or low alloy steel, with high strength, good toughness and weldability, and is widely used in load-bearing structures such as industrial plants, bridges and tunnels, high-rise buildings, as well as in the field of heavy equipment such as machinery bases and ship platforms.

Product Advantages

  • High structural strength: compared with I-beam, the section modulus is large, which can save 10-15% of metal in the same bearing conditions.
  • Flexible and rich design style: in the case of the same beam height, the opening of steel structure can be 50% larger than that of concrete structure, thus making the building layout more flexible.
  • Light structural deadweight: compared with the deadweight of concrete structure, the reduction of structural deadweight reduces the internal force of structural design, which can make the building structure with low foundation treatment requirements, easy construction and lower cost.
  • High structural stability: hot-rolled H-beam steel-based steel structure, its structure is scientific and reasonable, good plasticity and flexibility, high structural stability, suitable for bearing vibration and impact loads on the building structure, strong resistance to natural disasters, especially suitable for some of the multi-seismic zone of the building structure.
  • Increase the effective use area of the structure: compared with concrete structure, the cross-section area of steel structure column is small, which can increase the effective use area of the building, depending on the different forms of the building, it can increase the effective use area by 4-6%.

Interactive Q&A

What advantages does H-beam have over I-beam?
H-beam has larger cross-sectional modulus, higher strength, better bending resistance, and more convenient for construction connection compared to traditional I-beam.

Can the specifications of H-beam be customized?
Yes, H-beams can be customized in terms of flange width, web thickness, web width, flange thickness, and length according to the project requirements.

What industries is H-beam mainly used in?
H-beams are widely used in construction industry, automotive manufacturing, shipbuilding, and engineering machinery industries.
